Glad I looked up this number. If its not actually a scam, then it is at least aggressive sales. Either way I am not interested and have blocked the caller. Suggest you do the same.
I received a call from HYC on a similar number (0161 834 4200). It was about PFT or PPI claims. When asked how he had my number the guy said that HYC was connected to the bank and that they had numbers from databases in all the main banks as well as some others that he listed.
Very aggressive PPI telemarketer, almost certainly not legitimate. woman refused to stop yammering despite me telling her I had no loans etc. with PPI, insisting I must have. I repeatedly asked her to remove my details from their database and end the call, she repeatedly ignored me and continued telling me about how I was owed "about £2000". Call ended when I hung up.
Got a call I answered and I could hear music and nothing else I said hello several times and no reply.
I had a call from this number to never seen it before why did I get this its stupid it's has to be stoped
I got a call from these guys and he said he was calling from HYC I think. I said who? He repeated. I said I'd never heard of them so he said let me explain and I said no, goodbye. I never ever give money to charity so they're certainly getting numbers from other sources. It appears to be PPI claims sales call.
PPI Spam Call started along the lines of "Have you had any money back yet for your PPI claim". The call was from Manchester according the the caller ID and the person on the phone did have a northern english accent.
Had a call fro then today- hyc ppi company in Manchester. Woman wouldn't stop talking and I couldn't get a word in edge ways. When asked where she got my number from she just said I don't know and carried on rambling! Had to say twice I wasn't interested and actually had to interrupt her cos she was going on about family members? Wierd.
PPI cold-calling scumbags
Turned on my emergency mobile o check battery status. Received text from Orange of a missed call from this number. Not even I know the number of this set, so how the hell did they get it?
'HYC' PPI company, who apparently don't know the reason why I had finance, but I'm on their system that I could be owed money in connection with PPI. I call BS on the whole thing - more spam rubbish.
Didn't answer and googled it and then read this. Cheers.
Just had a call from this number. I didn't answer because I didn't recognise the number so came here. I won't be calling it back. Thanks to all those who've posted here.
