I repeaditly get calls from this number and always speak to them for a long time to stop them from scamming someone else. I always ask them to repeat what they have said when they speak quickly; by the way it is not racist to suggest that someone has a strong accent which cannot be understood; simply what happens every time; he could be from Sunderland for all I know. Claimed to be from o2 and said my sim card had been updated and they needed my security question answer. This time I told him I was aware that it was a scam and that I am not stupid - I asked whether he thought I was stupid but he said he didn't understand the question. My advice is keep these people on the line long enough to waste their time until they get frustrated and hang up.
Just called. It said suspected spam on my phone. Therefore did not answer.
Claiming to be from Vodafone - you will get a code from Vodafone and they want it to log into your account. Do not give it to them. Scam and scum.
Rushed call from lady with Indian accent purporting to be Vodafone and problem with my SIM card. Hung up but she called back twice. Told her not to call again.
Scam voicemail left "hi how are you? I'm John from gamma" (not 100% sure of gamma). Then superviser in the background tells him to repeat it, and he does. Sounded like scammers practicing their calls amd lines but left me a voice message
Called and left a voice message, sounded like the person was practicing their lines for a scam, a superviser was advising him to try again in the back ground. So "John" repeated the opening line "Hi how are you today, I'm John calling from Gamma " I didn't get the name Gamma 100% I think that's what he said. London number but with Indian accents both the caller and the auoervisor in the background.
This kept appearing in my missed calls, but there was never a proper message. I blocked it after checking the number.
Said they were from O2, similar attempted scam couple of months back knowing quite a lot of my O2 accounts details, billing, bank acc No and so forth?? Maybe There’s been a data breach somewhere O2/VM as I don’t seem to be an isolated incident???
Trying to say they are from Vodafone in a very rushed foreign accent. Couldn’t confirm any of my details, name. Account number ect then he hung up
Got a call saying they were from 02 and I needed a new Sim. This happened to me 2 years ago as I was convinced they were genuine, they even told me how much my last bill was. The scam part was that they sent me 2 phones and an iPad, both sent via 02, but then contacted to say they had made a mistake and I need to send the equipment back in a bag they provided. The postman duly delivered said back and I whilst I didn't accept the envelope, I took a photo of the address and found it was a residential property in Reading. Today I explained very politely that I was not going to be scammed again and she told me I was wrong. No lady, I was right!!
Got a call from someone on this number claiming to be from Vodafone and saying they needed to update my Sim. Sent me a code which did come through from an account identified as Vodafone (and from which I had other genuine messages). I was sceptical about the claim that a new Sim card wd arrive tomorrow and that someone wd also come and help me replace my Sim in my iphone - got passed on to various people all of whom were said to be the manager - and finally hung up when they told me my email and claimed that only Vodafone would know my email address ( them and the many many many other compabies i get email from) and that there was nothing to worry about. I finally hung up and reported it to Vodafone. It is worrying though that their code did come through from Vodafone.
same as other reports, my Vodafone SIM is going to stop working - I'm not with Vodafone hung up and blocked the number
No idea who this was. I checked the number instead of calling back.
