Thank you for posting this..I just missed a call from the same number today, so no clue if they would have said the same thing to me ..though iv had my number for over 25yrs now so don't think they'd be looking for previous owner of my number . I will wait to see if they call back as they didn't leave a voice message.

Called looking for the previous owner of my current phone number, so not likely spam more likely a debt collector (it would be the 5th such I've had calls from in the last 6 months)
