0161 839 2300 Neutral Who called me from this phone number?

I had a missed call from this number today. I have only recently moved to EE and got this number so suspect EE may be selling numbers.

Silent call. Will report it to Ofcom

Called them back, just claiming I'm owed PPI never taken out a loan. Polite lady took my number off hadn't had a call since.

Just got a call from this no. All I coud year was it was from HYC. My signal was poor and it was cutting off all the time. I kept telling her that and she kept talking. Last time I said my signal is poor i cant hear you she said "your signal is ok because I can hear you without a problem" Had enough and I put the phone down on her

Had several calls from this no - It's a call centre ringing about a fictional ppi claim.

Just had a call, they left a voice mail of what sounded like three blokes shouting and cheering as though at the football. Totally unprofessional. I'm pretty sure they're a PPI claim agency. I tell them to stop calling but they take no notice.

Just had a call from HYC - similar to those described above. Again, wouldn't let me (politely) get off the phone so I hung up. I have no idea as to how they got my number nor would she confirm when questioned. Block!

Just received a call from this number but couldnt get to my phone, i checked the number on google and realised it was a scam number so i have blocked the number 0161 829 2300

It's annoying why people think they can call number, who gave them my number

i too have just missed a call from this number. Didnt answer as i didnt know the number!

Have had calls from this number many times. They don't leave messages so I haven't called them back.

Rang my mobile last night just before 6pm. I didn't answer it. I have only given my number to close family and would love to know how they got my number. If people ring and I don't recognise the number I don't answer.

I no longer answer "Withheld" or "Unknown" numbers purely as I know they'll immediately try and fob me off with more PPI nonsense, only answered this call as there was a legitimate Manchester telephone number so could belong to any "real" companies actually desiring to talk to me. The caller was extremely chirpy at beginning of call and asked me how I was etc etc etc before revealing his reasons for call, when I told him I wasn't interested and advised him not to call me again, he told me I was very rude and claimed he was doing his job. I told him all people who actually had incorrectly paid PPI had now claimed it back years ago so his job was pointless so he needed to find a new hobby and stop randomly calling (and annoying) every person in the UK!! BORING!!

Had a call from this company on my mobile. Don't normally call back but was curious to see what they wanted as I have on going claims through The Claims Guys (who are brilliant by the way). Some guy answered the phone and I told him I'd had a missed call from this number. When I asked what the call was about he said "well you called me". He the proceeded to talk to me about PPI I was due and I stopped him in his tracks when I mentioned the Claims Guys. When I did that he hung up on me.
