! Be warned: Caller said they were Barclays fraud team and wanted security details.

Possible Barclays spoof. Not sure. Might be legit

Call on landline only answered as message being left by Barclays Bank Fraud Dept and was expected. Verified this number via Banking App and callback on mobile.

Phoned me asking for my dob and said he was from barclays so I told him that I was uncomfortable with the call and hung up

said they were from "my" bank no name of bank

He phoned me twice said he was from Barclays Bank and needed some security questions answering before he could tell me anything more. I refused saying I hadnt asked for this call and I suspect he was scamming. He said no he was from Barclays Bank. I said I would ring the bank later he said I could ring him straight back if I wanted to.. i watch Scam Interceptors! So I said I will ring them another time, I finished the call and ;bocked the number! BEWARE!

Called and said she was from Barclays Bank Said there was activity on my account and wanted me to give her my date of birth to verify my account after a brief discussion I said this is a scam and hung up I did check my account to discover there was no activity surprise surprise. Beware scammers we’re on to you.

Barclays fraud team, this is not a spam, they will ask you to confirm the call on your app before discussing anything about your account.

also receiving multiple cold calls from this number. Call back and automated American voice asking for a message to be left.

Called on 23rd Jan, pretending to be Barclays Fraud dept. Asked for my details, I declined, passed me to another who sounded Asian, who I told to hang up as believed they were scammers. Subsequently got a text from Barclays Fraud who I spoke to (by using a different phone) and called their number on back of my card, as they had blocked my debit card. They agreed to remove the block after verifying myself thru Barclays App and agreeing all recent transactions. Coincidence?? Not sure.

My answer phone plays my recording: something to the effect that, “leave a message ….. will get back to GENUINE callers …… if you’re try to sell something or some other kind of nuisance call, won’t be contacted! “ No message left; so I deleted the number!!!!!!!😀

Said they were from Barclays Fraud team and wanted to talk about a fraudulent attack my mother in law's account which I have power of attorney. The person wanted to talk me through security question. I told them to get lost.

I didn't answer because I wasn't expecting a call from anyone in London. I note other comments that this is a scam which impersonates Barclays Business Banking and it seems quite a coincidence that I had approved a payment from a Barclays Business account the day before, something I only do every few months. Other comments report similar experiences and it makes me wonder...

Just had a call on my mobile, didn't answered it, as I didn't recognise it, and then the number came up on my works number! Which I work for the NHS and left a message from Barclays Bank and to call them back, I don't even bank for them and the sound off the background of the doesn't sound like a call centre, it was very echo sound, like she calling from somewhere else?

Legit Barclays fraud team. I confirmed this by calling the official number..I was directed to my app and was convinced from here. It's just to check payments you made. Not wise to have no business name these days associated with your number. Well inconvenient

An Indian lady called me on my mobile number and said she was from Barclays fraud department and wanted to confirm some details. I said ok but she then asked if I could log in to my app. I started to get suspicious and asked her to verify a few things to which she answered she could not give me details until she had verified me!! So we were in a catch 22 situation. She asked me to call the number on the back of my card. I know that these numbers can be cloned so I ended the call.

Mohammed pretending to be from Barclays Fraud Team. He wanted me to go through "some security questions". Before I answered I asked him to answer my security questions. "What is the amount amount held in my two Barclays current accounts"? He said he couldnt do that. I then blocked the number.

Yesterday, caller said she was from Barclays Bank and then wanted me to answer security questions. I said how do I know you are for real. She said she was going to send a notification to Barclays app but that failed. Haven't heard since.

Called and left no message. Strangely, I had been in touch with Barclays earlier regarding a business account. I have heeded the above messages and blocked the number.

Said we’re from Barclays I called Barclays through my app they told me to block the number and be wary as Barclays is being used a lot at the moment in potential scams

Called me twice, sounded very unprofessional and very bad line which made it hard to hear what the guy was saying. He hesitated a lot when challenged. Be cautious

This number called me up claiming to be from the Barclays Business Account Team. It's most definitely NOT Barclays. Do NOT give them any information.

A loan was taken in my name from Barclays partner finance. Called Barclays and made a report. A lady later called me and said she was from the fraud department of Barclays. Barclays Partner finance was actually displayed on my screen and I believed her. Stole all my personal data. Beware of the number.

It was Barclays finance team. I complained about the service and there’s looking to refund £8000
