0161 839 2300 Neutral Who called me from this phone number?

This number just phoned me. Nobody spoke so I hung up. I have blocked the number after reading the comments above.

I despise cold callers so when I got a call from 0161 839 2300 I was very annoyed. I didn't answer though, just wanting to report the number

Just had a call from this number and turned out to be PPi. When I told them I had never taken out a loan with PPI he told me this could have been hidden. I told him that we had always been asked if we wanted to take out the insurance and always refused, knowing full well what the repayments were with and without PPI it is not possible to have this hidden! I told him on 4 occasions to remove my number from his database and he kept talking over me, when I raised my voice to be heard he raised his and carried on with his 'spiel'. I once again asked to be removed from the database and cut him off as he was still trying to convince me I could claim! I a positive if I had said that I had never taken out a loan he would have still carried on.....and on....

Ten minutes ago a man called, youngish voice, and said we may have a claim on ppi. This is the third in a string of unwanted calls since we asked a national firm to find out if we had ppi. Put the phone down on him.

This number call me and talk about PPI refund and trying to convince me that I have a lot of thousands of pounds to claim back . At last he want my post code, name , address I refused to give him. This guy is stupid and determined to got my personal datas , The police need to get this guys arrested.

I had a missed call from this number and it was someone talking about insurance refunds, PPI type. I asked him not to phone this number again and he completely ignored me and was pushy and arrogant.

I have just received a call from this number - didnt answer as always assume that numbers I dotn recognise are nonsense, and if its not they leave a message! I have however recently signed up for a Very accounts (clothing website) and ever since doing so, I have had numerous phone calls from numbers I dont recognise, ones I have actually answered includ PPI claims, energy comparisons, have you been in an accident etc etc etc. I always untick the box which suggests passing your details onto 3rd parties... maybe I missed this one? SO ANNOYING!

Just had this number call - but I never pick up the phone. Worst thing you can do, as it confirms to the other end yours is a proper phone number which will be sold on to every piece of scum in the known universe. My advice, which works a treat: tell all your real contacts to call you for the first 4 or 5 beeps, then put the phone down. When you hear it, dial 1471 to see who's called, and you can call back the non-lowlife human beings that you know. When you dial 1471 on a strange number where the call tone has gone on forever, you can then note down the number and Google to see what scum has tried to get you to allow them to waste your time and stress you out to boot. I am finding that a good 95% and more calls are in this category. One day I’m going to live in a world where all such useless lowlifes are sent to a remote planet in outer space and quarantined there.

It's all cold calls/scams never fall for these type of things , add to your block list or call up you network provider and demand to be taken off those lists. And explain that you feel harassed and distressed about these numbers calling all the time on your mobile/home phone and if they can't remove your number from the list they sell it off to 3rd parties then threaten to leave that provider and go else where. 👌✌️👍

Just received this call. Did not answer as I am immediately suspicious if I do not recognise the number. I am sure this is some dodgy caller. Had similar nuisance calls late last year.

Unbelievable - they've just phoned my 13 year olds mobile. I wish these companies would stop pestering people.

This is so annoying not noting who called me. I would just like to know who this person is.

I just received an unsolicited call from this number on my mobile. I think the woman said the company was HYC. As soon as I heard PPI I tried to stop her, told her didn't apply to me and asked that she remove my details from the database but thank you for calling. (The last bit was my pathetic attempt to sound friendly enough for her not to give my details to all and sundry). She carried on and I told her she was now legally required to remove me from the database. She still carried on but saying she would once I'd heard what she had to say. I was furious as she was now sounding argumentative and ignoring my request. I had to loudly tell her to leave me alone, take my details off the database and 'DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN. Now expecting to hear from 'all and sundry' so will not be picking up if I don't recognise the number.
