Had a call from this today, called me by my first name referred to themselves as a legal firm calling about my traffic accident! No surprise I've not been in a traffic accident!

just had a call off this number asking if I have had an accident in the past 3 years. Called Arc Legal. Why can't these company's get huge fines and be closed down.

This number called said they were RK LEGAL regarding a so-called traffic accident 3 years ago. Asked where they got my number, answer was "from our database" Soon as I asked if they checked the TPS register they promptly cleared the call. Checked internet and RK LEGAL are located in Chennai.

Unsolicted call to my mobile claiming to be from a company called RK Legal - I have looked them up on line and the only companies I can find are not based in Manchester. I have also had a call from this firm on a mobile number. When I asked where they got my name and details they hung up

Just missed a call from the above number, a few years ago I had a car accident and ever since have been plagued by these companies asking if I want to claim for 'minor discomfort'. They all know far too much detail about my accident, and I can only assume my insurer sold my details to these people. Ironic isn't it?, the insurance industry complains about costs of claims and then sells your personal information to theses verminous parasites so you can increase the cost of your claim.

Phishing for information about car accidents. When I questioned them on where they got my mobile number they hung up on me.

This number just called claimed to be a legal company. Kept asking if I had been involved in car accident in past two years their records showed I had apparently. I said no they then went down the road of "anyone else on your policy who could've but didn't tell you" I said no and they hung up. They knew my last name not the first. Don't pick up just block.

Had call from this firm told them not interested and not to call again leaving anwer machine on to vet all callers

Had a call from this number tonight. Have already had about 20 calls from them asking if I have worked in heavy industry. This was the same question so told him I had never worked in heavy industry and have told them this about 20 times, is there anybody there who can stop them calling. He then told me to go f**k myself. Say they are from Industrial Workers Union.

OK, tried to put a complaint in about this number with the TPS however their complaint service asks for many personal contact details about yourself which they say the may share with the criminal caller! . As I and no doubt you don't want these criminals having even more personal details about us I sent an email to the TPS asking them to create a complaint service where the guarantee NOT to share these details with the criminal callers. I suggest you copy and email something along these lines to; Email to: [email protected] Hello, I am registered on the TPS and have been for many years however I am still receiving unwanted Sales and Marketing Calls asking for a person who isn't me. I find this intimidating, very distressing and wonder where they have got my details from. These calls are often at very inconvenient times and if not answered and left to go onto my answering machine they do not leave a message. As I live alone this is extremely distressing. I want to register complaints about these criminals but your Complaint Service does not allow me to do so because it asks for very personal details about my home address, email etc. etc. which you say you may share with these criminal callers! This is like giving a burglar the keys to the safe and is completely unacceptable and means your Complaint Service is unusable. Please create an anonymous Service whereby you guarantee not to disclose personal contact details to the criminals so that I can register my complaints without fear of retribution and use of my contact details by these criminals.

This number called me last week which went onto the answer service but no message was left. They called again today at 17:15 and stupidly I answered, a foreign sounding guy asked if I was Mr. Thompson so I said yeah, then he said OK I believe you used to work in Industry a gew years ago, I said no and he hung up. Again I am on the TPS service (think it stands for Telephone Pestering Sales) but clearly they aren't worth bothering with.

Another spam call filtered out thanks to CLI, one glance and then leave it to the answering machine, where any genuine caller would leave a message.

Rang me and rung off when I answered. Obviously an automated call. I did not attempt to ring back as I thought this was suspicious as I am ex directory and also on the preferential calls list.

Just had this number call - but I never pick up the phone. If this is the National Hearing Centre or some such outfit, it's probably genuine, as I'm a paralegal dealing with claims concerning hearing loss in people who have worked in noisy environments in their working lives. But it doesn't alter the irritating fact that they're cold calling people to see if they want to claim against their former employers. Normally, the worst thing you can do is simply pick up your phone to answer a call, as it confirms to the other end yours is a proper phone number which will be sold on to every piece of scum in the known universe. My advice, which works a treat: tell all your real contacts to call you for the first 4 or 5 beeps, then to put the phone down. When you hear it, dial 1471 to see who's called, and you can call back the non-lowlife human beings that you know. When you dial 1471 on a strange number where the call tone has gone on forever, you can then note down the number and Google to see what scum has tried to get you to allow them to waste your time and stress you out to boot. I am finding that a good 95% and more calls are in this category. One day I’m going to live in a world where all such useless lowlifes are sent to a remote planet in outer space and quarantined there.
