it is spam. they are marketing calls. it is marketing on behalf of the NHS to push products or services that have not been requested by you but they want to sign you up for because they get paid per person. it is regardless of need or true requirement of a given individual, it is purely about pushing a product or service.
NHS unsolicited SPAM. Marketing product/service they get paid set amounts to push to whole demographics regardless individual requirement. Unsolicited, Unwanted, Unnecessary, SPAM MARKETING. Unless you have an appointment or currently receiving treatment. Don not answer. Block.
Phoned me on my mobile and asked if I was someone. When I said no, they sounded surprised and said sorry for troubling me. How did they get my mobile number ?
Got a call from this number on a Sunday morning at 10am. Didn’t recognise it but answered nevertheless. Glad i did as they were offering me a much awaited hospital appointment in just a few days time. The appointment was for North Manchester General but the caller said she was from Manchester University NHS Trust and could offer me appointments at any of their many hospitals, subject to availability.
Phone call about booking an appointment at St Mary's Hospital in Manchester. Entirely legitimate.
only picked the landline phone up to see if still worked having not used it for a year or so and noticed a number of missed calls, seeing as i haven't been ill and people say it is nhs i presume it was scam-demic related mass spam calling
Voicemail left which indicates its from Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust
As I am 68,deaf in both ears and on my own, I leave my landline on the answerphone and my message asks callers to say who they are and why they are calling me, but this number never leaves a message so as far as I am concerned they are either scammers, trying to sell me something or have the wrong number. If they are a hospital trust, as other commenters say they are, why do they not leave a message on my answerphone.?
Definitely a true call. Got mine this morning from the Pain Clinic, Baguley Suite, Wythenshawe Hospital regarding my next appt. Don't block it, it's all ok
