Thought it was a scam. Good to get it confirmed by searching number and finding others have had exactly the same thing happen.
Same as other victims. Hang up don't trust
Automated call regarding payments to amazon etc...these payments not made by us...a scam evidently & we wish this could be prevented!
As above, call re bank transfer & Amazon.Did nothing apart from contacted my business bank.,All good, but beware.
Second day on the trot this number has called and left no message. If a legitimate call is made to your number from whomsoever, they will leave a message, persistent callers who do not leave a message are likely to be fraudulent in nature.
have received several automated calls a day for several weeks informing me that they are from "bank fraud team". Several different numbers used.
Automated female voice saying my card had been used fraudulently. No name used, no card mentioned and no idea from which bank. The usual press 1 to stop these payments etc. I put the phone down.
Obvious bank fraud @ telford
Called twice today - automated message saying bank fraud office (no bank name given) Said two payments taken from account one Amazon another a travel co said to press 1 to delete and 2 to speak to an advisor Did neither - just hung up
As soon as my answering machine started they hung up . I always check the phone number. my theory if they are a genuine call they will speak
Has called my direct line at work (on the Isle of Man) at least 4 times today. As per other comments, it is an automated female voice from "The Bank" telling me that I have suspicious activity on my card, and to dial 1 to cancel, 2 to speak to someone. Presume there are consequences of pressing 1 that I don't want to risk finding out.
Automated voice telling me I had made purchases on my card to Amazon and an unknown totalling over £1000 and wanted my authorization to continue... hung up as they did not ask for me personally and no mention of what card...this is an obvious scam from the start, I just hope i don't get a FOURTH call from them today now.
Automated voice saying they were from bank fraud dept , no bank mentioned. They were concerned about use on my account, especially one payment to Amazon and another for a £1000 bank transfer. I put phone down. Rang twice today.
The call ended as soon as I answered
