Always suspicious when I don't know anyone in a place the call is allegedly coming from, so never reply. Thank goodness for this site, seeing others' comments lets one judge for oneself whether it is spam or not, whether one's own experience fits with others, and whether to block calls from the number even if one has never answered a call of theirs. Very much appreciated - a wonderful service.

Did not answer as didn’t know number and always think if it’s genuine they will leave a voicemail! , so this site is so helpful.

I was supposed to be having difficulty with hoisin repairs Asked where he got the information - said ‘housing association’ I said the information was incorrect, he apologised and rung off

Received a call just now saying that he's from Housing 21 saying I have reported an issue with the building. I asked him him where in my building and he just said just answer the question and a few seconds later hung up.

Was called today about a housing repair we had allegedly reported. The caller was clearly a automated recording. I knew it was a scam because I work for my local authority and we certainly don't use a company from Manchester.

Rang a mate of mine talking about conditions in your housing. Presume it's an attempt to scam folks in council housing, as other folks have mentioned them talking about housing officers
