Same happened to me yesterday night (Friday night), they called around 8:00pm which is very unusual time for businesses to communicate with their customers! This made me suspects the call and search for caller. Lucky me I found this blog here talking about the same number (0844 648 0258). It is obviously some sort of phone scams... I made complaint to o2 my operator and blocked the number.

The call scared me. Because I didn't know who had my number. I get a lot of anon. calls so another one is like the tip of the iceberg.

Phone rang once 08446480258 then stopped, why does BT let companies or people have these numbers when they are crooks.
