This number rang me once and hung up, I was at the boozer, called back... Couldn't hear anything and lucky I lost signal 17 minutes later.... Was charged 7.50 a minute a month later

Just had a one ring call, never answer unsolicitored calls, easy to block on most smart phones these days so as not to be bothered anymore

Same here, just had a one right call from this number 0844 648 0258. Glad I googled it and came across this thread.

Same just happened to me. You'd think there would be some kind of comeback for this many complaints but I guess the phone company must be making money or something to keep this number active. One ring then hung up. I am careful not to publish my mobile number so they must have randomly dialled it or got hold of it from less than legal ways.

This site is useful in alerting people to scums. It would make more sense however to have the comments ordered with the most recent ones on top!

Think, with automated dialling these days, a computer could be made to call out thousands of mobiles in a day. If 10% of the fictitious "missed" calls are returned, that's a lot of money made for nothing. I always follow a simple rule that I will only call back numbers that I recognise 100%.

Same as everyone else - half a ring then hung up. I have reported them to Ofcom.

Several Messages now, on my mobile saying I had had an accident!! Total rubbish!! Is there a number to complain under this new initiative on illegal Cold Calls?
