Guy said he was from Utility warehouse and that he could see my fixed tariff had come to an end and wanted to discuss a new tariff for me. I'm not with utility warehouse and never have been. Told him I don't partake in cold calls and hung up then blocked the number..
Believe it is a scam.
Wanted to change FixedTariff and asked for Bank details, I thought I smelled a rat so closed down
Beware of this scam. They call you under the pretence of offering Fixed Tariffs only to follow it up with the condition that it is only available if you pay by direct debit. I argued with this fool that energy companies only offer incentives for direct debit so they can access your bank account and steal as much as they want. Once customers foolishly give these crooks access to their bank accounts, you can't get it back. The bastard's make it as stressful as possible to get your money back in the hope that you'll give up. They rely on customer apathy.
Said he was from Utility Warehouse, who I’m with. Wanted to talk about a better tariff. I had just done that with UW customer Services last week. Pretty sure HE wasn’t from UW.
