0808 099 6746 Negative Who called me from this phone number?

Hi, This is where you give them the 1st and 4th, they then say "I didn't get that, the line is vey bad... let's try again, oops my computer has messed up, can you give me the 2nd and 3rd number AGAIN please . ? " BINGO !! they have all the numbers. There was a tv prog on a while ago where they showed all the methods, some are hard to get your head round, but from a scammers viewpoint they are money in the bank.

Its not vodaphone calling you, they are spammers!

They called me saying they're from 02 Account & Billing department, I hung up straight away as I'm with Virgin Mobile not 02. Definitely a scam!

They don’t need to mind readers. Just need to know not to be a nuisance. We all can understand that…surely. No-one likes nuisance calls. Even the nuisance caller should know that.

These websites are run by the people who make these calls. They use the info you provide them to hone their call techniques. Why else would someone pay to build and mantain a website that provides a free service? Wake up people!

If you get the pin wrong it changes what they numbers of the pin they ask for. I work for vodafone and can confirm this

HELPING TIPS:--- 1): Any call that starts with a gap of more than 2-4 seconds before anyone talks is a definite scam call. in fact unless you are a business its very easy to know, because logically you know the people who call you. So if you have any doubts, either reject the call, or if there is a gap, reject the call!!!!!! a 2): If the call has posh american female voice or (any other unknown voice) asking you to press phone keys, hang up no legitimate company in the world would ask you to press keys before advising you for its purpose. If I get any more scam calls I'll keep you informed Have a safe life!

So could you explain why, when I have been with Vodaphone for 2 years and their piggy backer Talk Mobile for a lot more years than I care to remember, they need to cold call on a daily basis? Incompetence or just plain stupidity?

Bear in mind that scammers can spoof a legitimate Vodaphone number so that they appear to be calls from Vodaphone. This means that some of the reports that the callers are from Vodaphone may be correct. However, it might be sensible to be suspicious of any caller saying they are calling on behalf of any company.

01603 531248. The caller put the receiver down as soon as I answered, so why bother to call me in the first place. I immediately added the number to my BT black list, but no doubt they'll come through on another number and I will not be polite the next time.

they called from this number saying they were Vodafone and that my SIN card was up for renewal !!!!! do SIM cards have to be renewed ?

Asking about details, Claims to be Vodafone they should know my address and my name if they are really vodafone..

This no. called twice today, and twice yesterday.I don't know who it is and won't answer as I don't take unannounced calls. It's a real nuisance.
