Indian caller pretending to be from EE and claiming that my Sim Card was about to be deactivated and so they needed all sorts of details from me. I told them I'd be reporting this scam. I literally spoke to EE the other day when I phoned them about a different matter and they never mentioned anything at all about this. I detest these fraudsters who pretend to be from various companies and try to defraud innocent people.
Pretended to call from EE. Asked "How are you"? then said my SIM card was going to be blocked within the next 7 days and hung up.
I didn’t answer it and they didn’t leave a message
Call transcript: Caller - Hello I'm from EE, how are you? Me - What is the purpose of this call? Caller immediately hung up. Obviously a scam call - No personal name provided by the caller, and a strong dislike for my annoyance that I picked up a call from an unrecognised telephone number.
Claimed to from EE and they were going upgrade my SIM. Didn’t identify themselves. Didn’t even ask me to confirm my name.
Called stating he was from EE and that my SIM was being blocked in 7 days and to get a new one he needed my log in details. When challenged immediately hung up.
