Greetings. Anyone who calls on a Sunday morning claiming to be Lloyds Bank querying a non-existant debit for this very day deserves all the contempt it gets - and being reported to people like you.
Our cards for a shared account were declined at a cafe, then we had a genuine security check text from Halifax asking us to approve. It says in the text that only fraudsters call asking you to approve. For a phone call to follow 30min after the card was declined was very well timed and convincing and the robot sounded like it would work towards getting details from me.
08.00 Said from lloyds bank - telling me to contact them as my card had been declined. When I checked with the bank some scumbag had used my card details for Uber Eats for £23 and two or three Uber Eats in the pending. I've never used Uber Eats or any other order of that type. The phone number is obviously to further the scam and empty your account. Can't understand why this isn't followed up and the guilty party arrested.
Claimed to be representing Halifax Bank fraudulent lot
They call me 6pm ask about my credit card Lloyd's bank. Don't answer them . They try scam you.
Scam, saying from Lloyds bank that card transaction had been declined, was this me? Please phone this number. However, the number they phoned, whilst to someone that has the name specified, they do not have the number called (mine) attached to their name.
Claimed to be from Lloyds Bank. Wanted to know if a due payment was fraudulent. It was not fraudulent, but a genuine pre-arranged payment. Asked for my D.o.B. Have contacted Action Fraud
I didn't answer and they left a message claiming to be from the Halifax needing approval for a card payment. I think its fraudulent and didn't return the call
Claimed to be calling from Halifax Bank. Clearly fraudulent.
