This is an Amazon Customer Service Agent

It is Amazon as I contacted customer service and they as called back via this number. The trouble is there so many scam calls using the network through abroad routers you automatically assume that these are scamming scummers especially if they have an aisian accent as most of the scammers are based in India. Check out Jim Browning on YouTube he is brilliant at taking these peoples people down.

Saying they were from Vodafone, selling iPhone 14pro max for £25 per month. I asked if you can confirm you are from Vodafone they hanged up.

They pretend to be Amazon but they are not! I contacted Amazon via the web chat and they confirmed it isn't them. Amazon would never call customers unless they requested a call back.

THIS IS NOT A GENUINE AMAZON CALL. I was contacted to tell me that I needed to update my debit card details. My card had just recently expired, so it seemed genuine. There was a link to update my new card details and I had to go through the usual security checks. It didn’t acknowledge my date of birth, so gave me a number to call. I have watched a number of episodes of Spam Interceptors and this call was almost the same format as the examples I have seen - asking too much information (which they should already have), not understanding my problem, too many “please hold the line” and we repeatedly saying that I am here to help you - all the format of scammers. Watch Spam Interceptors (BBC) - it showed me how to detect a scammer and if in doubt, phone the company directly (not their number).

This is a genuine number used by Amazon's call back team. Just make sure the number as not been spoofed, contact them yourself if you are NOT expecting a call.
