EE/pretended to be EE? called because I had an item in my basket, they said, when asked why they would need to call and why I couldn't proceed online by myself, they replied that they normally do credit checks on the phone!! Sounds like a scam!! I tried to ask what item they saw I had in my basket, they couldn't reply and said if I didn't want the same item I could change it......weird interaction as I didn't want to give any info but was asking for info from them, they then said they were busy and hung up
Not EE - checked through official EE phone lines. Asked for my name (why would you need that if you know who I am), DOB, current and previous address and sent me a text to a BT screening chat to confirm my identity in case I might commit fraud? Sophisticated manipulation, was patient and polite and pointed out my hesitation to get me on side, but definitely NOT ACTUALLY EE. Lots of noisy background chatter as well, sounded like an office or call-centre.
has called twice today - too busy to answer it. They left no message.... looks like another to be blocked.. Gosh we live in a nasty world ..... Life is hard enough without these games they play.
I was called by Maggie Thatcher saying that she was not dead but has been trapped in a Coal Mine for the last decade. I hung up.
This is a genuine EE number, it is listed on their website as a number belonging to one of their 'Direct Partners', this one being Inspired. They include 01914 290258, 01914 290924 and 01914 290922.
Oriental Scenery (1816) is an illustrated book by two painters, Thomas Daniell and his nephew William Daniell, who spent seven years together in India painting and writing accounts of their journey. On their return to England, the two set about publishing an extensive collection of these watercolour paintings under the general heading title of Oriental Scenery. A set of six volumes, published between 1795 and 1808, were based on drawings made in India by the Daniells themselves; another consisted of plates of the caves at Ellora after drawings by James Wales. There are 144 plates in total. The collection has been called "The finest illustrated work ever published on India."
I have received 3 calls since transferring to EE so to suggest it could be a marketing call does make sense. However, if it is not genuine, and previous comments seem to confirm this, then it is rather a concern that there may be a leak in the EE system which allows scammers to intercept customers' details! EE, please pay attention to this ! !
Called asking what knickers I was wearing. Naughty person!
Scam or fraudster claiming to be from EE and will offer you packages or discounts related to your account - the scam is that they don't actually have any of your details like name or even what phone contract you have, and will try and get this information out of you in the guise of "security questions". They are very sophisticated, and will even send an OTP or "One Time Pin" to your phone, which will trick inexperienced users into thinking this is some kind of security verification - in reality all you need to send an OTP is a phone number, which the scammers already have as they are calling you........ They will then use this info to get into your account. If in doubt, always hang up and call the main EE call line which is on their website.
This number is not from EE, i contact to officials ee number to confirm if it their number and they said it not us. This scammbag pretend to be EE. Please dont give ur details, end the call and give call your trust ee number and tell them about what scammer told you.
Said she was Maggie from EE, saying I had a contract in my basket (which is true) however was just a little concerned when she was trying to set up an account asking for my last name (that I had already put into the EE website) I just said I’d call them back later just incase before they took any card details
It’s not a scam, after reading comments it makes sense. I recently looked at setting up an EE contract and with others saying it’s EE contacting about items left in baskets it adds up. Just a pain in the ass really
I have no reason to pick up a call from a number that I do not recognise, and recently all calls from that area have been scam calls. so if they really want me they should leave a message which they do not.
Confirmed with EE that this is not them. Definitely a scam call phishing for details.
EE offering me additional lines on my mobile account.
Definitely span they claim are EE and try and steal your secret password so they can then call EE after in your name. Also they don’t know your name so don’t reveal it. If they are EE they know who you are. Plus after I time him I don’t know my secret password the call was interrupted.
Saying they’re ee. Asking if I would like to add offers onto my account.
It’s a scam because I googled the actual contact number for EE in North Shields and it’s this one >> this one is EE’s contact number 0191 257 7381 that’s the actual number for the EE branch in North Shields the other number they’ve rang me on is 0191 429 0924 l << this one is a scam
SCAMMER Pretending to be EE. Asking for credit card information to complete (non existent) online purchase.
It’s a genuine EE contact centre in South Shields
EE, called cause I had an item in my basket… why would they need to call? Reply: “cause you left an item in your basket”… since when do EE start doing nuisance calls 😠 said I was going hang up now, reply: “you very rude but thanks for your time” …. new type of scam?
When I ring back i hear an automated message which says "EE tried to call you today. we will call back later".
