Same as all the other comments. A voice said he was Sam and was a healthcare worker in my area (Salisbury). I asked a question that was slightly off piste and there was a long pause for the answer. Seems like an AI generated voice. Obviously a scam or pressure selling call.
Just had a call from a guy who said he was a Health Worker in my area, telling me I was entitled to a free care alarm and suggested I needed one, I could use it in an emergency e.g. if I were to have a fall. When I told him I had never thought I needed such a thing he said that "it's your decision", wished me well and hung up!
Received a call telling me he was a local Health care worker. I asked what it was about and was told I was entitled to a free Medicare tag. This was to make sure I could contact someone in an emergency should I have a health problem or fall. Told him no one has this problem in our household, he respected my opinion and then hung up before I could ask anymore questions. It was apparently from Newtown.
Guy called Sam trying offer me a free alarm pendant sounded very hesitant hung up after 30 seconds of drivel
1st July just received a Call saying someone in our household qualifies for a FREE Falls alert alarm, when I asked him where he got this number he hung up.
Sam a local Healthcare worker I am in Central Scotland called to let me know I had a life threatening illness and for the price of £1.70 per day was entitled to a push button alert. Hung up when I advised I work for the NHS.
I called this number and he was saying he was working for the Medical Alarm Tag Company I asked him where did he get the information He said he was a new worker and he will put me to his Boss. The line was cut off.
My elderly mother is law just answered the land line to this Sam. Again trying to sell emergency call alarms. I picked up on this and told her to put the phone down is we have our own healthcare cover her in Guernsey Channel Islands.
I caught Sam too. There's a lot of local health workers called Sam apparently. They are trying to sell emergency calls alarms. Didn't respond to my answers so clearly a robocall (also, may have been due to the swearing 😁). Seems a particularly nasty one this as it targets people with health conditions and plays on their fears about being left to die alone. Which ironically, would be too good for whoever this is (probably not really called Sam).
Called, said was a local health worker - as I had a life threatening illness could have a medical alert tag. When I said “ never had a days illness in my life, where have you got my medical details from” immediately hung up.
Heard nothing and I shut the phone down. Tillicoultry.
