0161 839 2300 Neutral Who called me from this phone number?

Just got a call from this number, looked dodgy so I didn't pick up.. Seems like I did the right thing seeing as it's one of them PPI claims calls. Going to block the number so they can't call me again.

Just had a call through to my mobile, I would love to know how these jokers get access to our numbers! Apparently the boy calling was from HYC asking about whether I had received my PPI refund like I had an open claim... I just put the phone down and blocked the number!

just got a rather rushed and noisy call from this number, a guy called Scott. When I told him I wasn't interested he kept saying "but it's Scott!" And then blurberb alias of stuff at me I couldn't understand when I said" stop talking a minute" he just kept repeating " but it's Scott!" Only answerd as it was not a with held number! 0161 839 2300!!

I got a missed call from this number at 17:51 on a Friday night - no message left. Am assuming it's PPI and will be blocking this number from my phone.

Just type in *0161# or any other numbers ie *0203# etc it blocks them instantly. This app is totally free

Just had a call from these. The guy was very pushy with a manchester accent. I asked him on many occasions where he got my number from which he said it was on the database. I told him to delete which everytime he ignored and would say "i will do after this conversation. The background noise sounded loud and fake. He was also trying to find out which bank im with which i ignored. In the end had to hang up cus they ignored the fact i told them i cant talk and aint interested. No idea where they got my number from though as its fairly new.

I am 13 years old and at high school, these people rang my phone as I was just leaving my math lesson for break! Pretty sure it's illegal to keep a soliciting call going to a 13 year old girl when she tells you that she's at school.

Just got a call from these, I never answer any number I don't recognize, then I check them out....Glad I did now they are blocked so they can try all they like...they won't bother me again.. If you don't answer they cant bother you either....

Had a silent call today, blocked it. Some advice do not engage if it bothers you just hang up. If you have time and do not mind keep them going they are paying for the call not you, provided you are not abroad. There are also things that randomly generate phone numbers and automatically dial, think about it there are so many numbers out there the chances of getting legit number is high. A silent call is an automatic dial but no agent available to answer, call ends.

I didn't answer this called as I don't answer unknown numbers, but I searched the phone number and found it's based within Manchester. No Idea why the have my number and previous people below have stated its a PPI called so I would advise not answering.

Received this call around 4pm. I don't know who has my number or how they got it. Any answers as to who or what it is would be great. Didn't pick up as it is a stranger number to where I live and not a number I have ever heard of before

A company fishing for PPI claims. No idea how this company got my mobile number. When I asked, I was told it 'just came up on their database'. I've never had PPI.

Called me twice - both times I've been overseas so it would have cost me to answer their spam calls! Blocked on my phone now.

Just had a call. Didn't recognise the number so never answered it. I have ove 400 numbers in my iPhone and if a number comes up that I don't recognise... I just don't answer it. It's simple. If it's somebody legitimate who has a new number ... They'll leave a message. After checking the number on here ... I've now added it to my blocked caller list and reported it as a nuisance call.
