So believable as I had just purchased a TV. They cited they were the guarantors of the product and requested my name address and email address to clarify that I was the recipient of said purchase. After I put phone down I was plagued by an onslaught of calls in relation to the call I just had. Avoid them like the plague.
I bought an item from Argos online on Friday, calls started on Monday, asks me if I'm Mr so-and-so, then hangs up. Obviously up to no good!
Claiming to be Argos. Had a recent purchase but bloke hung up before I could get any information on why he had called.
Tried calling three times over two days, a few rings and then hangs up. Hangs up immediately when you answer
I've had this number call me twice so far. Yesterday they rang long enough for the smart caller feature my phone to say it was Argos calling.. I didn't answer as I didn't think Argos would be calling me. I've made countless purchases through Argos in the past and I've never had them call me about any of them. They rang again just now but it barely rang. I have also recently purchased goods from Argos, but no large electrical appliance, I bought a Nintendo switch... I don't know if it's actually them calling or not, but I've blocked the number regardless.
Ye I have same story with call from that number
I've not ordered from Argos for around a year yet here we are. They don't speak - just hang up. I don't see the point of these calls.
I answer and i said you are Fu....😳scam The same I bought fridge freezer from Argos he start telling can I have ur details and the call are monitored 😁😁 Blocked
Im getting the same its annoying as hell Just chill out stop calling me lol
Same as all other comments bought a dishwasher from Argos day after it arrived the calls started …. If as in other comments Argos are claiming it’s not them then they are obviously passing over personal details somehow without consent !
Finally answered from this unknown number but couldn't understand what he was mumbling about. As he recorded the call, I decided to hang up as I have no clue what it is all about.
Haven't answered the call yet but seems like after purchasing a freezer I am getting these calls every day. I think it's sales insurance they're selling but very unprofessional to be ringing daily as most outbound sales teams should only ring twice however this individual who works there seems to be very persistent. Might be worth feedbacking to their head office. Will see if they call again.
at least 3 times a week on mobile phone, not home no.
I have contact argos regarding this number , IT IS NOT THEIRS , they have advise that they do not call people to ask for personal information . Don not share any information with this number
I didn't answer as an unknown number. It rang for ages before it stopped. Going to block it but I just purchased a new Argos kitchen appliance on Tuesday so it seems like others it is related to a purchase from Argos
