0843 724 4156 Neutral Who called me from this phone number?

Have received four missed calls today, one was from 08437244156, and three from 02075365372. I have not received spam calls before so I don't know how they got my number but if they call again I will not reply and if they persist I will find somebody to complain to. Or perhaps I will take alf jackson's advice and blow a whistle down the phone at them :) Unfortunately my phone won't block them without me applying to the phone company :L

Did not answer as not in my address book and never answer 0843 numbers anyway. Computer dialling is back after Christmas

They phoned me twice and I ignored them both times. So I phoned back to see who it was and it was a machine about a government pension scheme. As I read these comments, sounds like a scam. The number is now blocked

Recorded message claiming they've been trying to contact me regarding a non-existent PPI claim. Obviously some kind of scam.

Have been called before and had pressed 9 as instructed to remove my details from their list, but calls keep coming through. This time I pressed 5 to speak to somebody. I was asked for my name (which I refused) and told her that I wanted my number to be removed from their calling list - she laughed and hung up without another word! I rang the number back - it gave me some spiel about Pension deficits and gave the option of keying 5 to speak to an "expert". I did so and got an auto message asking me to leave a message. I did - asking for a response from a manager to explain how I had been treated earlier. I don't expect a call. It's about time these auto calls were stamped out.

Guys, you know if you press 9 to be removed from their lists you are confirming that the number is "live" and will likely receive far more calls including from other companies that pay for these live numbers.

Almost all mobile phones should have a call rejection/blocking setting. Select starting with 0843 then you should be free of these scum bags for a while. If its on your land line then I'd suggest getting a phone or device that does the same thing.

call claimed to be in regard to urgent PPI claim. Asked me to wait / press some button to be connected. I ended up talking to some woman with an IRISH accent who turned VERY stroppy and accused ME of being rude to HER (!!) and cut me off once she realised I wanted her name. employer's name and place of work. I guess I should not have revealed that the number she dialled was on the TPS list ;-) Interestingly when you CALL the number instead of letting it connect you, the recorded message clains they are from a completely different company. WELL dodgy of you ask me
