Linda from CGL, persistent in speaking to the Director. When I asked what it was regarding (can spot a cold call a mile off these days!), she said "regarding some advice he had given her on a project". Now blocked!
Linda from CGL, claiming to be, "following up on a private and confidential letter" sent to the MD (he'd never heard of her).
Linda from CGL asking to speak my director by name wanting to "sound out something" and ask for advice. Came across as is she knew my director. Very quickly hung up after I asked for more info and said they weren't available.
Person called from 'CGL' looking to speak with named director of business. When asked what the call was about, American chap was rude and couldnt fathom why I wouldnt put them through without further information. I asked whether CGL was an acronym for the business, could I get full details and again he was rude and hung up
Spam/Scam - Linda called asking to speak to 'Peter', didn't know who he was or what he did, wanted to talk about a 'project'. Tried to get an email address. Harrassing, not the first time I've dealt with them. AVOID!
Ivan from CGL wanted to speak to a Director about a very confidential matter. Wouldnt give me any further information as he said 'I said it was confidential for a reason' - then hung up on me! RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!!! SCAMMERS
Called asking for our director (knew his first name, probably looked up online). When I asked what's it about, to check if anyone else can help, he said if I can't give him directors email he will send letter instead. Sounds suspicious.
Man called Ivan rang from 'CGL' asking to speak to one of the Directors by name, clearly spam, so I asked him to send an email to our shared inbox. He said very rudely 'so I'm expected to send a highly confidential email to the whole office, that's perfect' and then hung up. Not going to make many sales with that aggressive attitude are you Ivan.
My gut said this was a scam. After reading the other calls here, it looks like I was right. Same as pretty much all the others... He was very polite and pleasant. It was an American man on the phone. He didn't give me his name but said he was calling from CGL. He asked for our director by name. When told the director couldn't take his call, he wouldn't give any more information so I could direct his call elsewhere. He said it was a personal matter and that he would call back. He then did the well-known Americanism of wishing me a nice day.
Asked to speak to a Director, i was told the call was confidential, asked for an email address for said director, as i said he wasn't in, i said i could give a sales email address... he said, that's not confidential, never mind "i will have to sort it" whatever that meant, hung up- i think this was a scam
Asked to speak to director by name, said she had a call from a John Cooper and could not give me any other details. Calling from CGL

Asked to speak to director, said she had a call from a John Cooper and could not give me any other details. Calling from CGl.
asked to speak to the owner and when I said doesn't take calls she hung up
American gentleman greeted with hiya, hope you're having a lovely day.... then asked for the Director by name but could only say it was a personal business matter. Our Directors don't take cold calls. He said OK have a fabulous weekend.
