I have just had the same, stupidly believed it. 100% scam call.
This number called me stating they were from Vodaphone and that they were going to terminate my sim card due to network connection problems and send me a replacement. This was a scam call confirmed by Vodaphone upon me contacting them.
Two missed calls to my mobile on the same afternoon. My phone automatic caller ID labelled it as suspected spam. No message left by them so their purpose is unknown.
