0161 939 0228 Neutral Who called me from this phone number?

this number has been calling me for past week claiming to be Talk Talk and stating my net is slow and to install Team Viewer and then wanting payment told them to politely shove it where sun not shine and would be contacting police and Talk Talk they hung up waiting on next call then they get a air horn blown down the phone to them

Rang me twice today ignored it 1st time answered next time and the guy was trying. to quizz me what IP I was on he said he was from BT he went through various IP s and I told him it was none of his business and put the phone down.

PPI department checking on outstanding PPI.

Just had a call from this 0161 939 (Digital Mail Ltd) telephone number this caller was very pushy and saying I was owed a refund on something, I had played off as I'm under 18 which would be almost impossible. He new my national insurance number, along with my name. What should I do about these people? As soon as I said I was under 18 he said okay then he thought there was a mistake then he put the phone down on me. I should kept on the telephone line open since I could hear the man shouting to his mates in what sounded like a pub or an environment like that. Unfortunate I didn't catch the chaps name because he talked really fast and had a real foreign accent (maybe down in south africa). I wouldn't answer calls from this 0161 939 telephone number range ever again as it looks like it is used for scams, since the telephone number I ring back points to 0870 446 0870, which is a premium rate business rate number. When you ring this telephone number you get useless information about reporting this number, you should ring their direct telephone number 020 7060 2000 and speak with a live operator about the scam you witnessed. You will not get very far with this company on their 020 telephone number as they claim that they do not do outbound calling, but from notes.dmclub.net/1094 tells otherwise about spoofing their telephone numbers on other telephone networks. Besides you will not get scammed with extra telephone charges as to dialling their 0870 number which would lead you in a big circle with information you already know and a bill of three quid on your mobile phone, the choice is yours.

They've phoned me at least 3 times today and a few other times this week!

Had a few missed calls from this number in past week when on holiday. Answered today, another PPI call. I said I wasn't interested but was told that I should get my money back. I asked what made them think I was owed money and was told that if I provided some financial details...said no way & hung up. Keep calling back so ignoring and going to block the number.

An Asian woman said "Hi this is "Chloe" from the PPI team. How are you today? I replied, "All the worse for taking to you." hung up then blocked the number. Sorted.

PPI calls every day, sometime 2 a day allways from the same number.

Finally spoken to a woman who rang from 0161 939 0228. I have blocked a lot of their numbers. She has identified herself as being from Seven Insurance and handling PPI. She was argumentative and when she was told it was an unsolicited call, she has continued to argue telling me she wants to save me money. She seems a bit disgruntled when I told her I'm charging her company £35 every time they call me and I ended the call as she did her best to shout over me n get all flustered! I win!

The number 0161 939 0228 phoned my mobile this morning - when I picked up it was someone talking about a PPI check. I said I wasn't interested and as I was hanging up they were asking "Why are you not interested in a free PPI check?". It sounded busy in the background so it seemed like a call centre to me, they might be phoning people with a few different 'scams' like these (I've never had any reason to be sold PPI so they have no reason to even have my number for that). I don't know where they got my number from but I'm hoping they are not persistent and don't call me again. I wouldn't bother answering their calls.

Cold call regarding PPI check. caller is aggressive and thretens to phone everyday untill I accept.
