The callers are cowboys pretending they have information showing i qualify for making a claim for potential hearing loss. When i made it clear that i have never worked in industry the story changed to say that it was my wife who qualified. Scam artists or ambulance chasers ringing people up at random hoping to get someone who might qualify. Then they'll take a big lump out for fees. If you've got the time and inclination string 'em along with false personal details. They'll start to get excited that they've caught another fish, but while they're being messed about by you they can't con someone else.
