Missed call from this number to my mobile whilst on call for work. Looked up and found these comments - now on my reject list - thank you.

I was asleep when this number rang me this morning. Luckily as I do with every number I don't recognise I search it and thank god I found this! Big help thanks everyone!

Just received a call from this number who told me it was a claim company. the guy that I spoke to was laughing down the phone at me so when I asked what was so hilarious, he said I'm not laughing. very rude.

Continuously rung by this never but never picked up as don't ever respond to unknown numbers. Straight in my block list.

phoned by these twits, said would not hang up on them, told them not interested again and again, yawn....

Missed a call from this bunch. Having seen the posts on here I'm kinda glad I did! The only way to defeat these people is to waste their time so that they can't make money. My approach to all unsolicited sales calls is to always answer the phone by just saying "hello", never give my name & always say "no comment". Whatever they say: "Have you ever had a loan?" - no comment; "is that Mr XXX?" - no comment; "why won't you talk to me?" - no comment; "don't you understand we're trying to help you?" - no comment; "why do keep saying no comment?" - no comment; etc. I find this annoys them every bit as much as their blulsiht calls annoy me. Eventually they wise-up & hang-up, but they're not too bright so it takes a while & wastes their time.

Daily PPI phone calls - very annoying and no details as to how they got my number, plus when I ask to be removed I still get called again

Caller from a PPI reclaiming company who just read out their script and will not listen to your requests to take your details off their database. The man I spoke to was highly obnoxious, deliberately obstructive, and would not respond to my request to remove me from the database, merely returning to the next paragraph on his script. Blocked the number from calling, I'd recommend you do the same.

Constantely harrassing me, calling all the time and never giving up until i answer..

Thank goodness I didn't pick up. I thought my mob nos was protected from these unsolicited calls - obviously not the case. A huge intrusion on privacy.

Recorded message told me that they could not connect the call and to call a number that I didn't have time to get. I have blocked this number.

Another person that has never had PPI called by these folks. Hung up as soon as the mention of PPI.

Had about 5 people all talking at once; I could faintly hear a woman saying "can you dial again because there's a lot of background noise". (Er - you called me?) One more for the block list.

Got a call from this number, called it from a landline and then hung up when they answered - I have since added it to my auto reject list on my moblie.

This number called me today. I was a little worried how they got my number as im 15. I dident say anythingbut there was alot of noise in the background.and then they hung up!

These idiots have been harassing my 11 year old daughter - quite how an 11 year old has PPI is beyond me and the PAYG phone was bought for her for emergency use so not even an old number of mine. I have blocked and reported them, but I see from another comment that my 11 year old isn't the only one. Just had them phone my mobile - i thought it was illegal to cold call from within the UK? I could be wrong. Anyhow they were giving a hard sell asking "Had I heard back from the PPI claim I made against the bank" told them I wasn't interested and was told "You must have heard about it in the news." Told them "goodbye" and put the phone down.

They always ring me, before they said they were from EE but now I do not pick up the phone to them

Caller asking about PPI claims. Very obnoxious, refused to remove my details from their list, used repeated evasive tactics and changed questioning methods to try and keep me on the phone despite my repeated insitance that I have never had any PPI products. Have added number to autoreject

Was harassed and badgered on the phone by a man who sounded more like a scammers or snake oil merchant. Declined a lot of times as he was asking for bank details. About time law is made to stop such. Can now understand why such harassment can lead to an OAP going suicidal. The people need to be protected from such unscrupulous fellows.

Well I got a call from this number asking if I had recieved my money from my PPI claim which does not exist to which I informed them and they very rudely and abruptly hung up. But it turns out a friend of mine recieves calls from the number on a regular basis. Just block it guys.

Selling PPI, explained i wasnt interested, the guy then carried on talking, said I wasn't interested again, the guy carried on talking, said bye, guy carried on talking, hung up, blocked number... Monkey on the car? F*ck off!!

Had a call from this number myself yesterday, unfortunately i was not in a position to answer as i was too busy riding my bike. Though given the rudeness some of you have be subjected to above, i wish i had been able to answer it and given them what for. As if they had been rude to me i would have gone after them via the legal route and made sure they were shut down, using my connections!

These people keep calling me 0161 741 4000 I only ever answered once they were very rude and would talk over me every time I spoke. They tried to get me to claim compensation for an injury in a car accident. Very rude

Didn't bother picking up either. A kind word of advice: it's not right to sympathise with this kind of work. Sure the people making the calls are trying to make a living but aren't we all and why not in another job? There are options out there, we are not the poor-man of Europe after all. These companies need giving short-shrift and made to realise how trivial the fruit is of their efforts. In short: don't personalise it, don't think about the caller and his circumstances, work can be found elsewhere and the nuisance these calls cause is something not to be forgotten or dismissed. There are after all many-many people of all descriptions, duped and robbed by these dodgy set-ups. Think of them instead.

Rang back this number today. They had called my mobile - a number I rarely give out. I have never had PPI. Couldn't hear a word the Mancunian at the end was saying over the background racket and he hung up. What is the point?

PPI caller, when i told them i wasnt interested they continued to ask how i knew that it didnt apply to me, probing questions about my financial history etc. Not rude, but annoying - they did agree to remove me from their call list, lets see if they stay true to that agreement.

Unless its the ghost of my great great grandfather who has finally discovered the telephone from beyond the grave, I know of no business or no person in Manchester that I would wish to pass the time of day with. What a tedious bunch these random callers are.

here is there 'official number' 0333 344 3440 do what I do.... call them and lead them on till the end of the conversation then tell them to 'P' off it really gets to them as they think they are getting a new customer lol The company is HYC (Help Your Claim Manchester) total parasites but I do enjoy a little pay back :-)

Git a call from this number today but didn't answer it thank goodness reading the other reports. I've blocked this number now. Not that that normally helps much as they just use another number.

They called me today about ppi said I was owed some money I told them iv never had a loan or anything then she said it could be from Morgage I told her iv never had one then she said credit cards I told her I don't have any and i don't do loans of any sort she soon put the phone down on me ha I won

Only picked up this call today as it showed up as a friend's number...assume her phone's been hacked! I politely told him to take my number off his list and he was immediately aggressive....very unpleasant.

Identified themselves as HYC - I presumed that meant Hangup on Your Caller.

Harassment from HYP and very aggressive people. Have never had a loan, mortgage, credit card overdue or anything, let alone needed PPI. These people are scum and need to get a proper job.

Had a call twice today 17th April from 01617414000 on my wife's mobile. Said these peoplke were the HSBC bank, which is mine, nothing to do with any banking of my wife's as she has no account with the HSBC. I did phone back on the wife's mobile, but just a man in a friendly voice shouting ' hello, Hello, so placed down the mobile phone receiver. Spoke to a young girl last time, as wife was out, and left her mobile here., This is now the fourth time over a couple of months of phoning my wife on her mobile, not land line.

Call from HYC, very aggressive, very rude, don't answer the phone to them.

Called about PPI - I always try to be polite to calls I don't want as I find it gets me further. I told the guy I knew all about PPI as I work for a business that handles claims myself (not cold calls) and that I knew more about PPI than probably 99% of the country. He tells me he will take me through some questions - I tell him very politely that in his interests and mine, I am 100% not interested and thanks for his efforts to call but I am declining. He gets rude.. "I am sure you will be interested in a claim if you can receive money back.. blah blah.." I told "What I would be interested in is you people LISTENING, so P*ss O**"! Very very rude company.

I am incensed by the call I have just received from this number! I have already received my claim back for PPI, with which I was more than happy. This company will not take no for an answer. When I told the caller I did not wish to be rude and hang up (as I myself was once in that line of business), he wouldn't take the hint. His attitude was awful and he eventually hung up on ME after he finally realised I was not interested. SO RUDE. Needless to say, I have now blocked the number.

Received yet another call from this number. Have only ever answered once, and spoke to a very rude man, who slammed down the phone eventually. They try ringing me daily, for about 2 weeks and then give up, Bly to start again a few weeks later. These companies need to be put out of business - they are a bane on us all.

This number called me today trying to convince me to claim back PPI. When I said (very politely) that I'd never had a loan or a credit card, the guy said 'Well excuse me for trying to help you. Sort it out yourself if you think you are so clever.' Amazing that such thin skinned people take these jobs! Never had one of these cold callers try and make me feel like I'M the time waster before!
