A scam! ere's a message stated on the official Edinburgh Sheriff Court website: "We have been informed that some members of the public have received phone calls purporting to be from Edinburgh Sheriff and Justice of the Peace Court about outstanding payments. These calls DO NOT come from Edinburgh Sheriff Court. This is a scam and should be ignored. SCTS does not proactively call people threatening action over National Insurance, unpaid fines or debts."

Just had a call from this number. Couldn't make out most of original message so waited for someone to answer. Definitely not British voice who asked me why I'd phoned. Told him he'd phoned me so he asked me my name and I replied he should know it then I hung up. Definitely a scam.

Got a call off this number regarding my nation insurance and a court case. Said I needed to press one to speak to a case worker. I didn’t press anything and it cut off. I’ve blocked the number
Automated message which I couldn’t hear very well but mentioned magistrates and fines. I hung up. I’m in Tyneside so can’t be genuine.
It was silent, then I said hello few times and line broke.
