Delayed connection (first bad sign!). Got an actual human (non-native speaker) who said she was from my mobile provider and would not state why she was calling until I confirmed my provider. I don't know how their scam was to play out as I didn't stay past that. I only took it as it was a local number. Maybe they were trying to verify that their scam list looked local? A local scam for local people.
