Called me from UK, Scotland today. I checked here first and blocked their number without answering. Thanks for the heads up.

seems to be a scammer from previous comments. they used mums old name and seemed to have her old address so must be using old phone books

Calleed Received a call today purportinjg to be from microsoft - gentleman ! was very persistent stating they had found a problem with microsoft on my system - yeah right - put phone down.

I had the same call today with the same message, she wanted me to access my control system, she was very persistent

Male with indian subcontinent accent called at 8:50 this morning claiming to be from bt openreach needing my cooperation to deal with multiple hackers threatening my emails. After a nice chat, I closed the call. He called back immediately and offered to provide verification of his identity. I ended this call under the threat of immediate loss of my Internet connection. So far so good.

Called me 8.03 am. Initially seemed to be no-one at the other end, then just as I was about to put the phone down a rather timid sounding female, possible Chinese, came on saying was from BT calling me about my internet connection. Whole thing was very naive.
