Rang several times to ask if I would like to upgrade to iphone 17 Pro Max. As I was a VIP customer they could do me a special deal. I said I would think about it and ended the call. They rang me 3 different times and each time I said I would think about it. My contract has ended so today they rang again - I was considering upgrading but the offer sounded too good to be true. I am with sky mobile. Iphone 17 Pro Max 512g £34.00 a month unlimited data, calls and texts. He asked me about what colour phone I wanted and asked me to open my Sky App. I said I could just check on google the colours available rather than the app. He seemed a bit insistent on me opening the app and I then got a bit suspicious and said I needed to check he was genuinely from sky - I asked him to send the offer to my email. He did send an email which looked legitimate but the link on the bottom went to a site with 'domain unknown'. I decided to ring Sky and sure enough it is a scam - Sky are not doing offers as cheap as that at the moment, especially not ones with unlimited data. I have blocked the number.

Said they were from Sky - but said they were calling from Manchester City Centre, but the number is associated with Burnley, said they were saying that I could do an upgrade but needed to give them access to my Sky account. Then hung up on me.
Say EE offer phone for new contract
This is a scam. They are using 'middle man' fraud. They call from a mobile number initially, then follow up with calls from a landline. They advise they will send an Apple watch, Galaxy buds, etc, for being a loyal customer, access your EE app/account and order an iPhone, they change the password, email address, etc so you can't then get app access. They call daily, to check you have received the 'gift' and when the iPhone is received, they ask you to return it as they sent the wrong item, the address they give you is not for EE and they get a new iPhone which u have to pay for. If this sounds familiar, contact EE who will cancel the order, and temporarily block your app. They have tried this on me twice now, fortunately I contacted EE each time and they closed down the scam immediately.
