Said she was from 3g and I needed a new SIM due to the merger (I'm not with any of the networks absorbed by this merger). She had none of my contract details and said she needed me to verify them so she knew she was speaking to the right person. Scam basically. I said if it was important she can email the address linked to my contract, its still the same. She asked me to confirm it just in case. I told her to go look it up and she finally gave up. I would normally hang up but I was a bit bored today.....
I just got a call from this number young Asian female claiming to be from three. Second scam call I've had today. I just made a wailing noise down the line and she hung up
I was sent a text from an unknown number saying this number had left me a voicemail but it didn't look right
Heavily accented young “lady “ rang to say my SIM needed updating and they (Three supposedly) would be sending one through to my address in the next couple of days. She then asked me for information to verify I was who I said I was ( the cheek!) and that I qualified for a discount phone (imagine my delight) an iphone17 with SIM plan £30 all in. Of course she would need the details of my bank account and to reassure me that all was well she’d send a one time code which I would have to give her to qualify for the discount. I decided not to give her my details so she passed me onto Zack , her manager. Zack assured me that my security worries were unfounded and would I get a pen and paper to write down the one time code.I told Zack I wouldn’t be doing that, because I was painting a fence (which was true) and that he could call back later. I then checked on the Three app which informed me the SIM cards didn’t need changing and if anyone phoned saying they did, it was a scam. They also pointed out they would never ask for a one time code. I then inadvertently phoned them back when I was looking for there phone number, but immediately hung up. Within seconds Zack was back the phone. I told him I knew it was a scam, but there was no convincing Zack and he continued to persist for several minutes before eventually trailing off and hanging up. I’m sure he makes his mother proud
She said she’s calling from three and I said I’m not interested and she said may I ask why and then I said sounds like a scam and she okay and swore at me
This number called me once saying they were Three network and could reduce my contact.
Rang me twice which I both missed and then left a voice message stating her name and nothing else.
Missed call. My number is a second phone for my tenants only so no reason this number should be calling me.
