Call received 11:45am on 27/02/2026. On answering I got an automated message from a very severe sounding lady with an American accent telling me I was about to be prosecuted by HMRC unless I paid an outstanding tax debt. This is clearly part of the long running scam using the HMRC name to attempt to defraud people. My advice is to hang up immediately and block the number.
