Hung up upon answering :) tried to offer me insurance
The number has repeatedly called a 92 year old up to 4 time per day. The phones when I was there, I took the call, questioned him on his company he was representing and he hung up. Total scam. Should be reported to BT and blocked.
Repeating calls
Heavy accent, noisy call centre sounding, didn’t catch his name or who he was apparently calling on behalf of. They knew my name, wanted to ask me 4 questions, would only take 60 seconds. Asked if I was a homeowner or renter, what my age bracket was and whether I was in my 30s, 40s or 50s, what brand my washing machine was and its age, if I had a pet, if I had life insurance, if I wanted to set up a charity donation to dogs trust, if I was interested in a ‘free’ magazine subscription. I answered every question to which they would get nothing from me. (No magazine, I don’t have a dog, I have insurance etc) I had 7 phone calls yesterday from a number ending 24 instead of 26 (exactly the same prefix) so it’s part spam to check active numbers and then this phishing survey where you’d end up likely having to give over bank details either to them or another third party from whatever ‘service’ they could help fulfil for you (so selling pet/life/appliance insurance, the charity etc).
