this number called me twice at 8pm and used my name, and I was very concerned but answered hesitantly. they said they were calling from take part in research, where I signed up to, and asked to do a phone survey now. it seemed in accordance with how the site works, but i didn't trust it so said i don't know when I'll be available. it is concerning that they had my details!
lovely man, wanted to take me for dinner but just had to make a small donation of £1 for charity to receive multiple benefits. gave him my card details, great service,
Claimed to be conducting research on behalf of HMRC to find out how companies are structured so that the best kind of finance could be offered. What an odd survey for HMRC to be conducting!! Terminated the call and blocked the number.
It's genuine Ipsos survey, the phone numbers are listed here ... https://www.ipsos.com/en-uk/approached-us-telephone#2
I do not believe Ipsos Mori will call numbers on the TPS Register and definitely not at 5pm on a Sunday. SCAM just hang up
I have received numerous calls from this number. They're a nuisance 😤. My belief is that if someone calls me (not me calling them) uninvited, I can be as rude and nasty as I choose. Rather than lower myself to that level, I set my phone to automatically block them. This works until they change their number. When that happens, I block that as well. My suggestion to everyone getting these nuisance calls, BLOCK THEM ALL!
I think lady said Ipsos. I refused to confirm my name and she politely ended the call.
Called me this evening at 19;51. I answered and said hello about three times before a strange sounding man replied saying hello x (my name) I’m Ger…. With that I put the phone down as he sounded weird! I normally ignore unknown calls but I get that many I thought for once I’d answer incase it was my phone provider. It may well have been them but after reading the comments above doubt it!
