0800 260 6490 Negative Who called me from this phone number?

Keeps calling but only rings once, then they hang up. Haven’t left any messages.

01453882643 called from this number at 09.48 this morning.. No message left on answerphone/ Reason for call unknown.

I have online banking with NatWest, and their app is installed on my phone. They know better than to call me from an 0800 number when there are more reliable, and more secure, ways to approach me.

Had a call from this number yesterday. Didn't answer, suspicion already aroused as to why a freephone number would be calling me, I usually would call a freephone number, not vice versa. In fact cannot ever recollect having had a freephone number call me. Searched number & came across this site. Seemingly people or scammers reporting this to be Nat West. So as I have no accounts with Nat West why should they be calling me? I have no idea, but only to confirm my suspicion that this is indeed a phising attempt. Personally I would leave alone & do not pick up.

I received a random call. Caller said she was doing a Nat West Customer Services call. I do not trust or believe in cold calls such as this. My bank, I believe would never do this. I was offered a 'face time call' to discuss my savings Interest rates - really! Nat West ?

Natwest calling to book my annual review. No personal info requested just when I'd be able to attend. Email received confirming appointment time (from Natwest genuine email & I did not give my address in the call). Scams may clone the phone number but this is a Natwest phone number

I answered and a foreign sounding voice sounded very distant. My name was not quite right as they read it out, so I suspect this is somebody using data from a data breach to cold call people. Beware.

Had this call and they said it was to book an annual review for my statement, I’ve been with NatWest since I was 16 and not once had this service. Gave no details discconeted the call and I rang NatWest who said it was a scam and they do not offer that service. These people knew my city without me saying a word and told me to ring the back of card! Don’t be fooled

I have read the comments but not sure. If it is legitimate why don't they speak when they call you. My phone rings and when I answer and say hello the line goes dead it is almost like they are testing the lines to see if someone answers or its a company robot

Most of the comments here saying that it is genuine seem to have the same writing style i.e. “definitely Nat West” “100% Nat West”. The email sent after the phone call is to “reassure” you that the call is genuine but is from a dodgy looking email address, [email protected], not Natwest. If they managed to get your number, it wouldn’t be too difficult to get a hold of your email address. The email looked dodgy - don’t click on any of the links. Couldn’t find the LinkedIn of the “Senior Personal Banker” who called. Further down in the comments, it looks like the number was previously used for a PayPal scam and now it’s a new story. DO NOT TRUST.

Natwest calling me to say someone had handed my cash card in which I must have lost last night, This number is definitely legit, but maybe Natwest also use it for marketing?

I was called around the same time as I had a NatWest related query so the other responses here made me think it may have been valid. However, they only called me for a few seconds, hung up and didn’t leave a message. My query was actually dealt with online and I’ve had no further calls from this number. So although it may be a legit NatWest number, the behaviour is suspicious.

Missed the call and spotted that it started by a +44 (calling from overseas) and then the number. No message left. My research brought me to this website and I called NatWest on their secured network line 159. All calls are logged against the customer name and this wasn't one of them. Was told to be very cautious and to block number if calls persist.

This is a scam, my mum received an email from PayPal saying she had a request for £1099 from her account from a woman called Mary- she then opened her app and it said the same, she rang the number and was on the phone to an Indian/Asian man, I was t convinced it was legit but she thought it was due to it being through the app, she give him her card number and he sent texts to her phone asking to confirm the transaction and told her it was to confirm she reported it, I googled the number to come across this website, I told her and she put the phone down then got a lot of calls from no caller ID, and they hacked into her sainsburys credit card and took over it, we are currently trying to contact sainsburys bank to resolve this. Awful and very convincing, please be careful and ignore these calls.

I had a payment request for 499.89 via PayPal with the the following message from Lisa Guntry and it was a fraud alert, that £499.89 had been debited from my account and to call this number. Went onto PayPal and sure enough there was a payment request for £499.89 which I had to approve or decline. Got the opinion these scammers are very smart to first warn me about a fraudulent request then actually request the money??

100% Natwest called to tell me my card had been handed in which I had cancelled and also a personal letter that was found with the card, arranged for me to go into the bank and ask for the senior advisor to collect the letter which I did.

100% genuine Nat West. Called re 'health check'. Suggested giving some thought about moving monies from one ac to another for better rate and left it with me. No security questions asked.

This number is a scam and the people leaving comments telling you it is real are working with the scammers DO NOT GIVE ANY DETAILS .. if you are unsure call in your bank or ask them to send it in writing....

Definitely a genuine call from NatWest, offering a financial health check. If you ask their name they’d be happy for you to pop into their branch and speak with you face to face. Or if you wanted to book an appointment they offer you a video call over zoom or an in branch appointment 👍 definitely legit

Caller left a voicemail message (I didn't pick up the phone) offering Natwest financial check, gave a colleagues name & mobile number if I wanted to set up a meeting. I don't require any assistance at this time but feel it would be easy to do reverse security when calling back to ensure it is your bank calling.

Called and asked to transfer money between one account to another. Called NatWest and they said this number wasn’t registered and the branch did not make a note that the call was made

It’s Natwest. They called regarding account health check and booking in Zoom calls. I asked questions and she knew all the answers. I even asked if she could help with a query I had, while I had her on the phone, she was able to tell me the accounts linked to my account, my mortgage and even gave me instructions on navigating the website for applying for my sons account.

Not sure who this was as I didn’t answer it but when I googled it was supposedly ‘NatWest’. But I’m not too sure to be honest. Definitely Do your research on numbers. Before you give out any details and always ask for proof of who they are.

If this was Natwest why do they not leave a voicemail message? If this was Natwest why dont they email me and send a message to my online account then I would no it's genuine - This is purely a SCAM & these comments saying its genuine are part of the SCAM

It’s spoofed the number. The actual natwest number is correct but when they call it’s not them. Anyone saying it’s genuine is part of the scam. THIS IS NOT NATWEST when they call you. If you call it back as it’s spoofed you get NatWest. Do not give them any details or answer. There are other ways that your genuine bank can contact you, ask them to do this.

Absolute scam. If you call the number back it will say it’s NatWest, but I contacted them and they said it’s NOT their number.

They do at the moment. I work for natwest and bank with them and they have been offering financial reviews during covid, all over the phone or they arrange a zoom meeting.

Genuinely NatWest ringing to see if you want to book in for a financial health check. They don’t ask for any details over the phone and tell you you can pop into branch to verify it is them calling 👍

They called private first time so I asked him to call me using NatWest number. Then he called using this number, so I searched the number so I got to this page. I guess it’s a scam I’m pretty sure NatWest won’t call to discuss what benefits you can get using your account.

It is legitimate call from NatWest, I went in to branch to check and it was just a service call.

Missed call - rang for a couple of seconds then hung up before I could answer, a tactic to get you to call back, so dodgy imo. Neither Natwest nor any bank for that matter would operate like this, so person who commented Natwest is either involved or Naive.
