0800 0725230 This number called me earlier but left no message (that usually means it's a sales/marketing/scam call of some sort). Just rang the number back - it is British Gas, I listened to automated "press 1 for this, press 2 for that" then hung up. They are my supplier anyway so are probably trying to push me to have a smart meter. Their web site is pushing them hard as well. I'll resist that 'free offer' until I'm forced to have one........Time based gas/electricity billing is just around the corner! No thanks. I don't think people who say yes to a 'free' smart meter realise what they are letting themselves in for soon.. Hey! I'd love to pay more to cook a meal at 6pm & take a shower at 7am. Not to mention they are often incompatible if you change providers, but it is a good way of avoiding building any more power stations for a while; spread the load. Rant Over!
