I had exact same email from Victoria Breaker for £890. I've cancelled it. Hope that's enough. Tried to report to paypal but can't find a way 😕

I also had a message from 'PayPal' about a payment for £890 from Matthew Eaton.

Same here, I got this scam message warning me of the amount £890 well good luck!

Received same mail as other today, cle@r fraud attempt, worrying that such a request can be made through Pay Pay. Maybe they should spend more time protecting their customers than threatening them with terms and conditions.

I too had an email from PayPal with a payment request from 'Matthew Ellis' with the following embedded message. 'NOTE FROM Matthew Ellis: 'FRAUDULENT TRANSACTION FOUND IN YOUR ACCOUNT OF 890. 00 GBP, TO STOP OR CANCEL THIS AMOUNT CALL US IMMEDIATELY @ +44-800-058-4853 OR THE AMOUNT WILL BE DEBITED WITHIN 12 HOURS' Don't call the number, this is a typical phishing attempt from fraudsters.

Me too. Got it this morning from Diane Isaacs. Check your Paypal - the request was in my accounts for £890.00. I cancelled it, but it probably wasn't necessary. I don't think it could go through without authorisation. I didn't know you could request a Paypal payment and I don't like that they had the correct name. The scam is to get you to call the number - I wonder what happens then.

Got exactly the same request from Carolyn Gonzales on Paypal, asking to call the same number. I live in Italy ! I'll try to cancel the request and report to Paypal. Thank you all

Exactly the Samer here except from from James Chambers, I tried to raise with PayPal, but seems no way to do that, odd that PayPal had no fraud facilities, once the payment has been canceled.

Received a message from PayPal warning me of a fraudulent transaction on my account (request for £890 from Veronica Clark) . Message with the transaction told me to call this number within 12 hours or the amount would be debited from my account. Thing is, the message seems to look like it's part of "Veronica"'s transaction, not a part of any warning from PayPal. I suspect they're trying to rope me into calling the number, possibly to get my PayPal details out of me, so I've not called it - just cancelled the request.
