08000326279 I received a letter with my name on it, and a BT logo, frightening me into changing my broadband to BT, otherwise I would lose my landline phone. I phoned the number, and after some time, he casually mentioned the contract would be with EE. I already have a mobile phone with EE, so I expect that's how they got my name and address. So I feel annoyed that EE are giving the impression that they are BT.

I had the same email today. I have called bt on the contact number on their website; the number in the email is definitely a scam number. The email address of the sender and the security details confirm that this is a scam
via email, a letter saying after change over i would no longer be able to receive service for broadband and phone from different providers i do not think this is true also bt do not have my email, so a bit dubious
I received a very long email saying that if I didn't sign up to BT I would lose my broadband at switchover. No idea what to make of it, so googled the number. It would appear to be a scam, so thank-you.
Rang the 0800 032 6279 number at the bottom of a postal letter dated 29th May 2026 stating I will lose my broadband if I do not take action. Was asked for BT account number, name and address. Agent then asked to send a link to my mobile confirming my understanding that medical alert may not be compatible after digital switchover. Agent did not ask for number I was calling from and yet he was able to send link despite number being withheld. Call ended abruptly once link had been sent. When I contacted BT via number from their website, they advised that the postal letter received had not been issued by themselves.
Sent to neighbour, appeared genuine, but confirmed fraudulant by BT security
Email with the title "You'll lose your broadband if you don't take action" with the number 08000326279. Phoned BT on 0800 44 33 11 from my bill who said they had not sent the email and to send it to their phishing team.
I will lose my sky broadband if I do not switch to BT in switchover
