Why don't he telecom providers shut this down!?

Received letters from Santander looking very gunine with return address on the back, etc., and a reference number but no account number. Had text on my mobile using the same contact number. Telephoned Santander using our normal business contact details to confirm that this 0800 085 1379 is a scam. Be aware!

Rang the number on the back of my card because this number is a scam number which was verified by Santander. It is a spoofed number. They had records of calls but no record of sending me a letter so letter definitely a scam letter and was asking for personal Information. Said would restrict/close my account within 14 days and 14 days passed and no account closed or restricted. So linked to a scam.

It is from Santander, I received this number in a text message after they rang me twice from a different number. I rang Santander directly, 03309123123, they checked on their system and it showed up for me to call back on that specific number, so I did. They wanted to check certain transactions, etc.

This is a legitimate number I typed it in on my online banking and they verified that Santander wanted to speak to me

Was given this number by a Santander operator so not sure if its a scam or not

Claimed to be from Santander - asked for my wife(?), hung up when I questioned them. They then called my Dads landline and asked again for my wife - God knows how these thieving scum linked all these numbers.

Does it say “Stupid” on our forehead, that we will call them on their chosen number for this scam? To verify: simply hang up straight away, and then go in to your physical branch or your own online banking or your actual bank number, then confirm with them. Never give any details or anything to any random calls!

I received a call from this number last week and wanted more details from me. They also sent me a letter saying I need to call the number as soon as possible otherwise my account will be restricted

Had a call from Franki (Santander) asked me to call back on 0800 085 1379. Called Santander from official number to be confirmed that 080 085 1379 is not a recognised number for Santander. Make of this as you will, however, I did not call back.

A lady called and left a voicemail, then a man called called back asking me to confirm my details. I told him that because of security reasons I don’t want to do that, he said they will send a letter in post. I received the letter asking me to call this number. I new it’s a scam and checking the number on google confirms everything.

l have received two letters asking for additional information, wage slips additional income which is worrying. the number on the letter is 0800 085 1379

Santander - know your customer checks. Confirmed legitimate with Santander main contact number. If worried, I advise you do the same. Obviously, ensure it is the same number as searched and not a few digits different!

This is a SCAM number. The 'scammers' are also smart enough to leave messages in here like the one above to say it's a legitimate number. Do not be fooled by them. Luckily the scammers cannot remove this message telling you the truth that it's really a SCAM number you'd be calling. Do not be caught out. This number will connect you to fraudsters who will try to steal your money!! You have been warned.

This is a legitimate Santander number. I've had phone messages and letters recently so I phoned Santander on their main customer services number to asked if it was legit. It is, it's a number that goes straight through to a department trying to get better proof of identity for some accounts. This is to comply with UK legal regulations.

Received 2 letters from santander asking for information / ID / pay slips. This is a SCAM!! Please do not fall for this. Call the number on the back of your santander card not this number, it may sound and look genuine but it ISNT!!!!

Received a letter from "Santander Customer Operations" asking me to ring them on this number. Suspected it was fraud and tried to contact Santander properly - but no reply so wrote them a letter

This is a scam from someone pretending to be from santander. They used both house number and also sent message on one time pass code number. Verified with santander as a scam

The caller was Anne Marie from Santander who left a message on my answerphone refering to me by surname asking me to give them a call back on this number mon-fri 9-5 etc.
