A text asked me to verify a purchase and gave 03333397342 as the number to call if it wasn't me. I rang it straight away and the call was answered by someone claiming to be Barclays Fraud department. Sadly, I gave my name before realising that this was a scam, which was obvious when I was told my Barclays bank card would be cancelled and reissued. I told them I don't have a Barclays account - and there was no reply. I hung up immediately.
