I had a person called Anna call me in a very strong Asian accent and she said what sounded like “the debt charity department. How are you today”. Well firstly, my day was going great until you rang, but where are you calling from again? She repeated it once again so fast that I couldn’t make it out, but from the first second she spoke, I knew it was a scam call as she didn’t say a company name (just a department). How asks how you are doing today in the very first 30 seconds of a call from a legitimate business and when she hung up on me because I couldn’t understand her speech pattern. Although I am no expert, I strongly believe this may be dodgy.
