They rang me claiming to be from ET/BT talking about some kind of amazing free SIM card I could be moved over to. Indian call Centre. They triggered an EE SMS for MFA and started asking me about my six digit security number and date of birth. I hung up.
Claiming to be EE, hung up after that. I'm not with EE
Said they were sending me a 5G sim and messaged with a code to activate. They asked me to repeat the code and for personal information and when I declined after several attempts they hung up. There was a lot of background noise which is another red flag.
Claimed to be EE. Angry when I said I wasn’t with EE. Angrier when I said they were a scam.
Caller introduced himself as EE and asked for personal information.
I didn’t answer
It was a missed call even though my phone didn't actually ring.
I was called from this number by a person claiming to be from EE, he and one of his collogues were difficult to understand, but the gist of their conversation with me was that they were from EE and were her to help me. In my opinion they were not from EE at all but were scam merchants
