Warning to fellow business owners: I received a cold call from a company calling themselves “Business Rates Relief.” They convinced me to pay £5.99, which they then used to lock me into a business-to-business agreement demanding over £1,000 more. When I challenged it, they took me to court, and due to their clever legal loopholes, I lost. Please learn from my mistake — do not engage with them.
Scammer running the company ‘Business rates relief ltd’ Ben Davis company director. Recieved a call from there company. Was told i need to pay £5.99 and the rest after a successfull claim. Once the £5.99 was paid, i was told i am now in a binding B2B Contract. Scummy company. Threatened a new small business to part ways with £1080. I did not want to go to court or have any stain on my new business. Now its been 6 months i call them every month and they promise a call back but never do. BE VERY CAREFUL AND DO NOT PAY THE £5.99. What a scummy way to do business. Ben Davis karma will catch up to you very soon, its just a shame, all the people you have scammed will not be able to see your downfall when that happens.
Did you go to court ? I am due to be in court with them next month
they are pure scum. they riped of £840 from me in 2018 through Clemency agency by Ben Davis. now under a different name called Business rates relief, Benjamin Davis called me, asked £5.99 upfront rest of money after successful case. dont trust them, they use £5.99 as their terms and conditions confirmation and threating through the court to rip off more money with out doing any job. i have a court with them on this monday, hope he will come to court to give me opportunity to make my fantasies true.
Hi there. Did they actually manage to have a reduction of your business rate or is it a pure scam?? Thanks
Don't be intimidated by these guys. I was due to meet them in court today because they were trying to sue me for about £1000. They know they had no case so they didn't pay the court fee and the case was struck out. We win. They lose. Don't be intimidated by them and you will win too.
Apparently Business Rates Relief limited, or Davi’s, Leslie, Todd limited. Do not give them your details, they will charge you more money without your expressed permission.
claiming to be from business rates relief and wants to help support small businesses get rate rebate
Claims to be from the valuation office but is actually from a company which is not connected. Scam
