Said was HSBC and when I said I didn't believe her and that I wasn't going to give her any info, she said to call the number on the back of my card. Probably to throw me off or gain my trust.
Women speaking from Indian straight away said I’m calling from hsbc could you go through security and give me your date of birth I asked and said what’s the reason for you call she said she couldn’t say just wanted all my details then she would tell me. Told her if you can’t explain why your calling don’t bother calling me again
Claimed to be from HSBC! I said that the bank would email me or write to me if they wanted to get in contact. They ask for all your details without giving a reason as to why. I never give them my details and tell them I think they are a scam and hang up. HSBC hasn’t contacted me in any other form so I believe this to be a scam.
Whoever is calling from this number don’t answer. I got 4 missed calls, then answered the 5th time. Calls started from 830am. Answered and just heard a 3-4second beep then the line hung up.
Silent. left me 14 voice messages blanks in last 18 days. today got an email from hsbc just saying " contact us" . i did not click red button. they can always send me a post. tc. avoid spams.
A women pre tending to be HSBC. I asked what it is and they said I have to give my details before she tells me what it is.
Called twice in one morning. Voicemail was a series of options but no identity as to what organisation calling.
HSBC scam - highly sophisticated, involving keeping a line open and fake dial tone etc. when calling the genuine HSBC fraud number. Real concern that it was triggered by a genuine banking transaction. Would be interested if anyone else has similar suspicion.
By their own intention, HSBC are notoriously difficult to contact by phone so a phone call from them was welcome at first. However, no notice was given of a phone call coming from them, and when they started asking for my personal details it was possibly a spam call so I hung up. Before this happened, they asked me to ring them if I wasn't comfortable taking the call. (So I did ring them. Naturally enough, I couldn't get through to HSBC to speak with a human). Scammers may be exploiting users frustrations at trying to get thru to HSBC. Be careful out there!
Claims hsbc Wanted my date of birth and address i told her i wasnt going yo give that information and asked what the call was about but she couldnt tell me without verifying my account so i hung up.
Claim to be from HSBC or other UK companies to confirm personal details for their database. They spam call multiple times almost every day. Either ignore their calls or waste their time by responding “OK” to everything. Whatever you do, do not respond with “Yes” to anything as they will likely keep and use this as vocal verification.
claim to be from HSBC but asked for someone who doesnt live here, then asked for information to allow them to take my number of their database
The also claimed to be HSBC for me but asked for private details so I hung up and ignored them. Now I’ve had over 20 missed calls from them over the last 3-4 days
Claimed to be from HSBC but wanted my address details and wouldn't confirm reason for call. Call terminated by me
