Called to say they were from EE and were offering me a very large reduction on my bill. (I signed up yesterday on a very low price contract with benefits so why would they do this?) Asked me to confirm my email for account verification and I gave an incorrect address which they they asked me to spell out rather than telling me it didn’t match what was on file so knew then it was a scam. Gave this number to ‘call EE back to verify it was them’. They called me from 07827392246 and gave the name John Christopher.

They called saying they were from Sky and that they wanted to advise me that they were reducing my monthly payment and they wanted my email address to confirm who i was. This sounded suspicious so i requested that they gave me a their name (John Chrisbocher) and telephone number I could call them back on. I spoke to sky who confirmed it was not one of their numbers. The number shown when they called me was 01543648365
