robot caller pretending to be from the government

. My sister received a letter from a BW Legal, a firm of solicitors saying that they were collecting a debt from their client British Gas. The letter was addressed to my son who moved to the US 25 years ago. He had no bills at my sisters address. The only way that scammers obtained his address was from his medical records as he registered at my sisters address when he was visiting her 25 years ago. I beieive that there was a Cyber attack this year 2024 and many medical records were stolen. Didn't call the number. Don't call this number as it will also charge you. They are after your DATA !!!!

they sounded very polite but said it was a personal problem and I was then asked to answer security questions. I refused and asked what it was about. he said he could not tell me without me answering the questions. I replied that as he was cold calling me i would not give information and hung up

Recieved a call from BW legal . It rang for about 3-4 seconds and stopped. Their number came up and I didn’t recognise it and neither do I know anyone in Leeds, also the fact that 3 second ring calls are almost most certainly automated calls which when you answer, a robotic assistant asks you to press any any random number like 1 to sell your identity to them. So anyway I didn’t answer. When I googled the number my suspicions were right. It’s was a debt collection agency or “solicitors” . The major issue here is that I don’t have any loans, debts, mortgages, outstanding bills, late payments, no payment plans, no credit no arrears. I have no poor credit score rating and no tickets, fines or court action against me. Im not rich at all and I am very careful with my money and spending so why these people called me is obviously trying to scam or harass me.
