The caller stated that Tesco and O2 were merging and would be sharing network coverage. They claimed that, as part of the transition, I would need a new SIM card and that I would receive a 30% discount for the year. The caller did not state my name or provide any of my personal details. I ended the call, after which I received several missed calls from the same number, followed by a call from a withheld number and then another call from a number that, after searching online, appeared to be associated with scams. I believe this was a scam attempt and would advise others to be cautious if they receive a similar call.
