Chap called yesterday saying they were from SSE, wanting to book someone in for 'meter maintenance' but needed to speak to the business owner to do so. I advised them to send an email as it sounded suspicious. They did send one later that day - but it was from a gmail account. Definitely not SSE! They called again today. I hung up. They called again 4 times in a row. Hung up each time, so satisfying!

Said they were from Octopus, when challenged on their number and not willing to send an email to confirm, they hung up. Do not tell them anything!

Said they were from British Gas , wanting to replace meter! Constantly ringing! Scammers
