Claimed to be from O2, saying my SIM card would be blocked in 2 day. Took him I would go to into the o2 shop i was standing outside and he told me that i didnt need to. When I told him no, he was quite rude to which i hung up the phone and blocked the number

Claimed to be from O2, saying my SIM card would be blocked in 2 days and texted me an O2 recovery code. Told him I didn't care, and he told me to f*** off. *This is a SIM swap scam, using a genuine recovery code they gain access to your account and with your number they can use it to receive one time passwords to things such as your banking apps and continue to commit fraud. Very dangerous*
Indian guy with thick accent pretending to be from o2 and virgin media. Hung up abruptly when questioned.
person said they were from O2 and how my line would be blocked. Very odd as I am not an O2 customer and they went off very quickly so beware maybe trying to scam or sell a fake network
